Winter Carnival at Shelbyville Masonic Home


Here at Masonic Shelbyville Dining Services bought the Winter Carnival to Shelbyville.
            A  Celebration of the beauty of winter and the history of the region.

We wanted the Residents to remember going outside having snowball fights with their close friends. So we gathered the residents for a winter snowball fight by using marshmallow. The residents are still talking about this event my staff and the residents gathered to get the Director Linda Wagner.

We had the Residents cut out snowflakes and decorate them. The Dining Team took pictures of the residents and put their picture in the middle of the snowflake. We hung each one outside of each resident’s room.
 
We gathered evergreen tree branches spray them with snow spray hung them on the activities board while enjoying Cinnamon Cider.

Chef Tyrone gathered the residents to tell the legends of the Winter Carnival in Saint Paul while enjoying Hot Chocolate with Whipped Cream and Sprinkles and Sugar Cookies made with raw sugar. 
Tuesday Chef Bruce served as the Chef Special “Irish Shepherd’s Pie made with Real Mashed Potatoes with Seasoned Braised Cabbage “ 
Wednesday Chef Bruce served as the Chef Special “Corned Beef and Swiss”
