This past summer the dining services department at AM McGregor Home in Cleveland Ohio took their residents on a month long cruise and never left Cleveland Ohio. Everyone got a passport which got stamped at each port, on boarding photo, and enjoyed a Bon Voyage Party as the SS McGregor left port. The itinerary included the ports of call China, Italy, France, and Jamaica. The SS McGregor is a fast ship. Each week residents enjoyed cuisine of their ports of call in the dining room complete with display preparation of menu items and some lucky cruisers' got an invite to the captain's table to dine. Shore excursions included a viewing of "Under the Tuscan Sun", pajamas party night with pizza while in Italy and a Tiki Bar and Steel Drum concert during which everyone relaxed and enjoyed good conversation. Who says you need a ship to go cruising?
