It seems to me that the leaders who work most effectively, never say "I." That's not because they have trained themselves not to say "I", they just don't think "I."
They think "we;" they recognize the whole "team."
They understand their job is to support and direct the team's function.
These highly effective leaders accept direct responsibility, but "we" is who gets the credit. The people who work with these leaders know that they're all in it together.
