Elly's Inspiration: What Clients Love

Over the last nine months most if not all of you have heard the presentation by Mike McFall on the book “What Client’s Love”. Below, is a recap from that book on the traits client’s love. It is important to remember who our clients are. This goes beyond the person we report to within our communities. It can include Nursing, Marketing, Plant Operations, Finance, Wellness, Social Work-the list goes on.

It is important to remember, too that we need to look for and cultivate these traits in each and every member of our team.

The Traits Clients Love

  • Humility. Never praise yourself or criticize a competitor or another client.
  • Generosity/Sacrifice. Give up something and you will get more back.
  • Respect. Especially of their time.
  • Openness. Tell the truth even when it hurts. This is tough but so necessary! Risk yourself to earn their trust, the foundation of a great relationship.
  • Integrity. Always do the right thing, even when you know no one is looking. Deliver on your promises, consistently.
Parting words from the author: Your greatest asset is your passion and belief in yourself. Clients love that.
