A group of our managers attended the Oz Principle Workshop in Detroit last week. The session was an all-day affair, but the time flew by very quickly. Our talented facilitator was Catherine Cape, Morrison's Director of Leadership Development and Training. She really has a way of keeping everyone extremely engaged throughout the program and she makes it fun too!
The participatory discussions were candid, open, honest and very interesting. Many great tools and processes were shared which will help our team create greater individual and organizational accountability.
Here are a couple of comments we heard from the participants:
"I wish I would have know the "LIFT" Coaching model yesterday, I wouldn't have had a sleepless night last night thinking about how I could of improve getting an associate to take accountability for the results in her area."
Bill Farnam Food Service Director Maple Woods Manor
"I really got the most out of the "Accountability Feedback Process". I learned how to be more effective in how I give and receive feedback, and I really enjoyed the indepth discussion on Above the Line thinking."
Heather Gillespie Food Service Director Bay County Medical Care Facility
We have a couple more of these sessions scheduled this month, so if you are planning to attend one, you can count on it being a great day. If you aren't on deck to attend one yet, no worries, we plan on scheduling additional sessions so that everyone has the opportunity to benefit from this workshop.
