Accountability from Ken: Are you falling below the line?

Remember it is natural for us all to avoid accountability and fall Below the Line from time to time.  It is our recognition that we have fallen Below the Line that helps us start climbing the steps to accountability.  Here are some keys to helping you recognize when you are below the line.

·         You find yourself blaming others
·         Your discussions on problems you face focus more on what you can’t do rather than on what you can do
·         You tell yourself you are confused and allow that to be a reason for not taking action
·         You spend time developing stories detailing why you were not at fault
·         You feel you are being treated unfairly and you don’t think you can do anything about it
·         You say some of the following:
o   “All we can do is wait and see”
o   “Just tell me what you want me to do”
o   There’s nothing I can do about that”

Accountability is a personal choice to rise above one’s circumstances and demonstrate the ownership necessary to achieving Key Results.

SEE IT,     OWN IT,     SOLVE IT,     AND    DO IT.
