Terrace Retirement's Smoker
After years of faking BBQ with artificial ingredients like liquid smoke, the Terrace recently purchased an inexpensive smoker from Sam’s Club. The smoker was only three hundred dollars but is digitally controlled, uses an electric element as a heat source, can be used in the kitchen under the exhaust hood, and is very easy to maintain. While small in size, the smoker can turn out almost two cases of ribs in four hours and six or seven brisket flats in about eight hours.
In addition to the old standards of brisket, chicken, and ribs, we have been able to expand our offerings to items such as smoked strip loin, whole smoked salmon, sausage, and smoked sweet potatoes.
