Accountability from Ken: Leading with Accountability

ARE YOU LEADING WITH ACCOUNTABILITY?

It is not uncommon in most organizations for the people working there to have no idea what their leaders are doing much of the time. Leaders often have great innovative ideas, they see the path and journey that will get them to these ideas, but leaders are not always great at communicating those in a way that brings everyone else along. Make sure as a leader you tell your team “Here’s what I’m going to do, here’s what it looks like, here’s the date in time when it’s going to be finished.” And lastly and most importantly, “I am the owner of the task, or here’s who the owner is, and I want all of you to know about it.”
