On Display Cooking at Oakwood Common

 
Whenever possible, the Chefs set up a table in the dining room and show off their culinary skills. Recently our Executive Chef (Pearse Tormey) decided to prepare an upscale dessert for the residents. The surprise dessert was a chocolate waffle topped with ice cream, Sander’s hot fudge and whipped cream. To make the event even more successful, a dessert selling contest was held for the service staff. In excess of sixty dessert specials were ordered and served. All of the staff involved were rewarded for their efforts with one of the desserts. What a hit!
