AMITL Germany from around the Midwest Region

We held our AMITL The Camaraderie of the Germans theme dinner here at The Fountains at Franklin.  We served Brats and Sauerkraut with German Potato Salad and Chicken Schnitzel.  The residents loved the food, but even more the cute Lederhosen vests we had the servers wear!

Fountains at Bronson: In continuation with the "A Meal in the Life" series, Chef Paul and our Food Service Director, Andrew, hosted a food demo with authentic German food. With the largest amount of attendance yet, the residents were delighted to watch the display cooking while discussing facts and the history about Germany. Some of them have had the opportunity to visit there, so they were happy to share stories and talk about their experiences. Chef Paul prepared crisp Potato Pancake &  homemade Applesauce, with a side of sour cream. It was a delicious afternoon snack and gave the residents a nice preview of the German-themed Dinner they will soon enjoy! Guten Appetit!
