On 'Ice Cream for Breakfast' day, Chef Austin treated the residents to Bacon Ice Cream! He should know fun ways to serve bacon, as Austin took top honors in last year's 'Royal Oak Farmer's Market Bacon Bash' event. The resident's loved it!
Bacon Ice Cream
Sprinkle 1 cup brown sugar on 1 lb. of bacon.
Bake at 350 until bacon is caramelized and crisp, crumble.
Top vanilla or maple ice cream with bacon or stir into softened ice cream.
