We have started offering kitchen tours to our residents after lots of
expressed interest. We will be hosting them on the last two Fridays
of each month until everyone has had a chance to tour the operation. We
keep the groups small so for quality, safety
and we do the tours after lunch service. The tour starts at the
loading dock where we discuss receiving and distribution, then on to our
storage areas, bakery, and preparation. The tour ends with a detailed
explanation of how we set up for dinner, the POS system
and flow of service, then all questions are answered.
It has been a great success and residents really appreciate seeing how we operate.
