Huron County Medical Care helps a resident celebrate his 54th wedding anniversary

Today one of our HCMCF Rehab residents and his wife celebrated their 54th wedding anniversary. Since staying with us, it has been difficult for him to do anything special for his wife so he asked us if there was some way that he could surprise his wife with a little something special. When presented with that challenge Dining Services swung into action. With the help of Rehab nurses, who helped move a table and chairs and the activity department, who provided a centerpiece and corsages for the happy couple, Dining Services was able to surprise this resident and his wife with a special dinner in his room.
The couple was able to enjoy a quiet dinner celebration with their grandchildren complete with their favorite, Carrot cake. The Dining Services staff even signed a card for the couple. Sometimes just doing the little things make a big difference in enriching our senior’s life during their stay with us!
