At our display station today, a hot and hearty chili bar was offered to our residents and staff. To introduce this month's Encore theme,
a 'pillar of poetry' was made that listed some famous poems that
written from ones such as Walt Whitman, Edgar Allen Poe and William
Shakespeare. My mother, a longtime poetry enthusiast, came and recited
poems to our residents during lunch.
It
was a lot of fun - so much so that residents asked that she comes back
to do more in the future. It was an excellent start to this month's
dining series!
