We held a Marti Gras celebration on February 12 with a great turn out. Everyone enjoyed trying the Southern Gumbo, with or without Okra. The King cake was a hit. This was a white cake mix with a molasses cake swirled in as a marble effect. This was topped with thick white frosting and lots of sugar sprinkles. Beads, colored table cloths and door fringe were used to decorate the dining area. Residents enjoyed how the staff got involved and interacted with them. It was a fun day for all!
