Thanksgiving celebrations have already started here at Fulton Manor and this is a good time to emphasize that turkey pop-up timers are useless. In the picture on the left the timer has not popped and the turkey is temping at 170, it was a little dry. Much worse though, the turkey on the right is only 147, NOT SAFE TO EAT, and the timer is popped. There is no substitute for a meat thermometer when checking the temperature of food.
