Franklin United Methodist expands resident tastes

The above photo is of a chef event that was created by sous chef Jeff Simpson. Every Tuesday evening Jeff creates something to serve to our assisted living residents that is outside their normal menus and something that they might not have ever tried. On this particular evening Jeff made house made sun dried tomato hummus with house made pita chips. The residents were very skeptical of this at first but with a little coaxing by Jeff many residents found out that they enjoyed hummus. This is a great example of how our chefs are working to expand the horizons of food for our residents.
