National Nutrition Month: Fresh Taco Day!



This week we celebrated National Nutrition Month with a healthier taco. We featured a ground turkey taco with black beans, Greek yogurt, lettuce, cheese, and homemade salsa as toppings. The fresh salsa was a big hit! We served the tacos with sides of brown rice and quinoa, both flavored with vegetables and herbs. This was many people’s first time trying quinoa, so it was a great experience for people to try new things this month! We also held a 50/50 and raffled off a crock pot and a KitchenAid cooking utensils set for when they can make their own healthy recipes!
