Play and Learn Children’s Place is connected to our Long Term Care and STC facility at EHM Senior Solutions in Saline, MI. This National Nutrition Month, the clinical and culinary team came together to educate the pre-school-aged children on nutrition!
Nicole Blair, RDN, read a story about a dinosaur that was scared of vegetables! The kids thought this was fun and they discussed why they were not afraid of vegetables!
After reading the story to the children, Nicole and Stephanie Patton helped the kids create a vegetable forest. Chef added food coloring to ranch dressing so the kids could create a sky and grass for their vegetable forest! At the end the team donated the book and a chef’s coat and tools for their play area!
