Are you using the “LIFT” coaching model to get your team’s accountability back above the line?
Remember when someone is not achieving the desired results and they appear to be “Below the Line” you should be asking them “Why they aren’t you making the progress that you really want to make?”
• Listen for obstacles- Ask them what else is getting in the way of progress
• Identify obstacles they can influence – Ask which of all the obstacles do they need to overcome the most and why?
• Facilitate the Solve it question – Ask “What else can you do?”
• Test for movement – Get a commitment of what action they are going to take.
Remember to check back to ensure progress and form the expectation of action.
