Sangria at NorthPointe Woods

Today for Dining Delights I made homemade Sangria for the residents. We talked about the history of Sangria, where it originated and the different kinds of Sangrias that you can make. The residents enjoyed seeing the fresh oranges, apples, limes and lemons being sliced right in front of them. This week’s Dining Delights was very well attended and now they are requesting that we make White Sangria also. It was a lot of fun and a good crisp way to think of the summer months to come!
White Wine Sangria Sparkler
½ Cup Blackberries
1 Cup Strawberries
½ Cup Raspberries
1 Cup Peaches
¼ Cup of Fresh Mint
1 Bottle of Sparkling Pinot Grigio
1 Bottle of Moscato

Slice the Strawberries & Peaches. Combine fruit, sparkling wine, moscato & mint. Let chill for one hour, tastes the best if chilled overnight. Serve & enjoy!
