Diverse Thought of the Week: Anjera Bread
Mother Angeline McCrory Manor celebrated Martin Luther King Jr. Day by offering Anjera Bread and Beber dipping sauce. The event calendar stated the following: " Let racial hatred go and try some Anjera Bread instead." Most of the nursing staff is Ethiopian and we wanted to let them know we care about them. They were impressed to see food from their heritage! It was fun going to the local Ethiopian bakery to purchase these items. Did you know Ciga means meat in Ethiopian? This menu item can be served with meat too. The bread is used to pick up the food with your hands and then dip it in the sauce and enjoy.
