HCMCF Dining Services makes it to 365 days accident free!

Congratulations to the Dining Services department at Huron County Medical Care Facility!

By working together as team, and helping each other to follow the Morrison "Golden Rules of Safety", they have achieved 365 days with no workplace accident claims!

Stop, Think, Act has become a workplace habit as they complete their daily routines. Throughout the year, the staff has worked diligently to stay safe while at work. Proper PPE like cut gloves, oven mitts, steamer gloves and slip resistant shoes are worn by all. Spills are always picked up in a timely manner with wet floor signs in place. The staff works together to have each other's backs, literally as they help each other with heavy lifting and you can always hear warnings being given such as "oven doors are open", "hot pans coming through" and "wet floor" anytime you enter the kitchen.  Great job team – let’s see if they can make it to 2 years!

Chef Appreciation Week at Peace Village

Our Chef Appreciation Week was quite the celebration! The door to the chefs' office was decorated with notes of thanks and appreciation from Peace Village residents
and administrators, along with notes from our waitstaff. Executive Chef Jason Ison and Sous Chef Frank Desoto shared their talent and skill by serving our residents at the In-The-Kitchen Chef's Table, which we host every Thursday.  In addition to regular menu items, the Chef offers a surprise special entree to the table as well. Residents love seeing the activity in the back of the house and thoroughly enjoy being waited on by these two top talents.
