What is the Hospitality Principle?

The principle of hospitality is that it is sincere, genuine and authentic.  Residents and guests can tell when someone is not sincere.  It is important that we receive and treat our dining residents and guests in a warm, friendly and generous way.  Keep in mind that the tangibles to this are to be empathetic, respectful, visible and engaging at all times.  Focus on connecting with individuals on a personal level and demonstrate your sincerity through your facial expressions, the types of questions you ask and the words you use to respond to questions.

Weekly Hospitality Mindset

Many of our client organizations operate in an environment where residents may feel a heightened sense of vulnerability or distress. Ensuring resident dignity, while delivering much needed services, may be among our client's greatest challenges.  The skills and principles of hospitality can help address this potential obstacle to meet their missions. Over the coming weeks, we will be focusing on the steps we can take to help improve our partnerships with our clients through hospitality services. Keep in mind that we provide a vital service for the communities we serve that has a lasting and overall impact on the operation as a whole.  Driving and living this culture sets us apart.
