In
October, Central Baptist Village hosted our Fall Harvest Farmer’s Market,
highlighting the transition of the summer and fall seasons, local and seasonal
produce as well as the official transition of our menus.
We
split the market display into two main areas: a resident display where any of
our residents could enjoy homemade trail mix, yogurt covered raisins, taffy
apples and other seasonal produce at their leisure.
In
our café, we offered an expanded selection of choices that residents, staff and
guests could enjoy. The weeklong event was capped by a hot apple cider social
and a field trip to a local pumpkin patch.
This
was a great way to celebrate fall, and the coming holidays.
