National Nutrition Month at Mother Angeline

National Nutrition Month was highlighted at Mother Angeline McCrory Manor with a display table.  Information about some herbs and what eating them can do to help the human body.  Did you know rosemary loosens chest congestion, mint relaxes pain-inducing intestinal spasms and parsley is a natural diuretic.  Fruits, vegetables and nuts were featured and information was provided showing that the way an item looks is a key to what part of the body it will help the most.  Some items like kidney beans help kidneys,  walnuts look like a brain and help the brain and carrots when sliced like a coin look like an eye; theerfore carrots help the eyes.  All of this information can be found on the Regions blogspot.
