Hawaiian Luau at Lake Forest Place

The dining services team at Lake Forest Place hosted a Hawaiian Luau for over 200 residents and guests on Saturday, July 13th. The dining room was transformed into an island scene with festive decor scattered throughout the entire campus. Prior to the dinner event, luau dancers and drummers entertained the guests while enjoying Mai Tais and Pina Coladas.

The buffet featured traditional offerings from the Pacific Islands such as a Pineapple Seafood Bowl, Tuna and Papaya Teriyaki Skewers, Coconut Croquettes with Piquant Pineapple Dipping Sauce, Waikiki Spinach Salad with Mango and Papaya, Roasted Suckling Pig with Polynesian Barbecue Sauce, Maui Chicken, Grouper with Dijon Maple Syrup Glaze and Fruit Salsa, Kona Yam Bake, Stir Fry Vegetables with Sweet Onion, Napa Cabbage, Baby Corn, Mushrooms, Peas and Carrots with Oyster Sauce, and Island Green Beans sautéed in Garlic and Dark Rum garnished with Pineapple and Bacon Bites.

The staff dressed up in their favorite Hawaiian attire and made the event a huge success.
