The WHC dining rooms have been all a flurry this week with
Oktoberfest activities in full swing. Iowa is a vast majority of
heritages, but the Cedar Valley has a great population of German
heritage. With that being said, these recipes are a great enjoyment
for the residents. They enjoyed some favorites pictured, and we look
forward to a few more delicious recipes throughout the rest of the week.
The conversations that flow because of this food is something though.
Residents are able to speak about their past,
the adventures they had in life before they were all brought together
as neighbors in this community. Some even gave a few pointers on the
food that was served and how they used to make it the same way, or how
they varied the recipe a bit. This is always
a great opportunity for dining staff to learn new and exciting things
about the residents they serve every night.
