Revenue Enhancement – Gift Shops
Many
communities have an established gift shop, a small c-store or, may be in need
of a gift shop but are not sure how to get one up and running. For many years the thought behind existing gift
shops was they were managed by volunteers and were untouchable by anyone else
besides those volunteers. This thought is quite frankly old and outdated. While
we assist our communities transform, why shouldn’t the gift shops be a part of
that?

managed department!
There is a
growing need for gift shops to transform from selling jewelry, frames, and
stuffed animals to offering what residents really need and want.
Our gift shop brand combines the traditional gift selections, as well as a
wider selection of prepared food and groceries.
Lake Forest Place is the first to implement this within
Morrison Senior Living. To give an idea of what this will look like, Morrison
will be gaining revenue of $100,000 per year while saving our client
close to $20,000. This is definitely a win-win situation for Morrison and our
partners.
The Gift Shop Brand has been around since 2010,
while managing gift shops prior to 2010. Currently we operate 37 branded
locations and 12 non-branded gift shops throughout Morrison Healthcare. This is
an area of tremendous growth and opportunity in Morrison Senior Living!
