Mardi Gras fills the dining room at the Western Home Communities

This past Tuesday coined "Fat Tuesday" was celebrated in style at the Stanard Family Assisted Living on the Western Home Communities campus.  Banana's foster was on the menu and residents enjoyed the tall flames being displayed by cook Courtney Schmidt.  It was also a great opportunity for residents there to enjoy some different cuisine than they are not used to.  The concept of broadening their horizons is a goal of the dining services team in this facility. We want to make the dining experience that much more special: entertain residents and provide a great time while they are with them in the dining room.  There is no question they accomplished this with this delicious treat.  Residents were talking about the dessert hours later on walks thru the halls, it was a great time had by all.
