On Earth Day, Tuesday, April 22nd, at Three Crowns Park, we offered a salad featuring local produce topped with sustainable poach Salmon for lunch. We sold over 40 salads and the residents loved the special offering.
Also on Earth Day, our Dietitian, Danielle held her Wellness Talk featuring the benefits of Whole Grains. By the end of the event we had eight residents learn the difference between 100% whole wheat and enriched whole wheat. She had samples of the breads and later that evening a resident purchased some left over slices of 100% whole wheat sourdough bread. She said “this makes me so happy.”
