This month at Evangelical Homes Sterling Heights stepped up our heart healthy classes by adding an on-display session. Director, Bruce Bilbrey, and Christina Weber, RD set up an on-display station for cardiac rehab residents and staff. We discussed the different types of fat and how it is related to heart health.
Residents and staff were both engaged in the on-display and enjoyed learning a new cooking technique. Christina provided tips on how to make simple changes in their everyday diet and how to make an impact on heart health on their next grocery shopping trip.
