Diner Days from around the Regions

The Fountains at Franklin held our first 'Jukebox Days' Diner Days event last week.  It was a big hit with the residents who enjoyed Cheeseburgers with their choice of toppings or Hot Open Face Turkey Sandwiches.  Traditional Cream of Tomato Soup and Hot Fudge Brownie Sundaes rounded out the meal. They especially loved the 'Doo Wopp' music from the 50's.

The fourth installment of Diner Days, celebrating the 1950's & 1960's was enjoyed by many residents at the Weils. The event was held on January 15th and since the suggest meal was already a meal on our cycle menu we decided to go a little off script. We made classic triple decker club sandwiches with herb mayo, lettuce, tomato, bacon, turkey and ham along side of a basil tomato soup. As an added feature we offered old school root beer in the bottle which was a huge success! All while Executive Chef Greg played the residents favorite musical hits from the 50's and 60's.

The travelers from Walter Reuther Hospital stopped along Route 66, pulled into a diner and had a corned beef sandwich with mustard coleslaw and fries.
