Power of the Purse Event at Brecon Village

On March 10th, Brecon Village hosted the pre-party for the annual Power of the Purse event hosted by the Women's Leadership Initiative of the United Way of Washtenaw County.  Fundraising for this annual event helps fund grants that will allow women in the community to achieve their potential.  The Woman of the Year is announced at this event as well. 

Chef Janet and her team wowed the party guests with a menu that included fried shrimp tostada, mini BLT, grilled flatbread w/ricotta and roasted grapes, plum, cheese, and honey, Asian noodle salad, risotto cakes w/chipotle aioli, creamy potato soup with hearty bread and red currant jelly, peach bars, raspberry crunch cake, snickers bars.  The presentation of the food helped create the atmosphere of sophistication for this wine and hor d oerves  event.
