On May 12th Wesleyan Senior Living held a concert with The Glenn Miller Orchestra. The Glenn Miller Orchestra is the most sought after band today for Jazz and Swing dance events. The Glenn Miller Orchestra is considered one of the greatest bands of all time. They take their unique Jazz sound to play 300 concerts per year all over the globe.
Before the show our residents and guests were provided a cocktail hour with various wines and beers as well as our House Spiced nuts, Mini Quiche, and Cheese Board.
For the main course we started off with a Baby Green Salad w/ Strawberries, Hazelnuts, Red Onion, and Honey Lime Vinaigrette. Our guests were then given a choice between Beef Medallions w/ Balsamic Cabernet Reduction, Asparagus Mushroom Fregola, and Roasted Baby Carrots Topped w/ Caramelized Cippolini Onions; or Ginger Miso Glazed Salmon w/ Sautéed Sweet Pea Shoots and Roasted Red Potato Medallions. For Dessert we served Vanilla Bean Panna Cotta w/ Diced Strawberry and Balsamic Reduction.
