Brain Health Awareness at NorthPointe Woods


June is Brain Health Awareness Month! Here at NorthPointe Woods we celebrated with “Brain Power Superfoods with Katie!”  We talked a little about the brain-the different parts and what they are responsible for. We went over how it’s important to keep your brain fit and gave examples of what our residents can do to keep their brain healthy. I brought samples of superfoods which boost brain function and memory. We had samples of pomegranate juice, dark chocolate, blueberries & iced green tea. Other superfoods we discussed were Wild Salmon, Avocado, Beans, Grains, Nuts & Seeds! Our residents tried a few things that haven’t had before and learned a thing or two about how to keep their brain active! It was a fun learning experience!
