Presbyterian Home showcases protein and watermelon for residents

As part of a speaker series on healthy aging, our dietetic intern, Umamah Fatima  gave a presentation on protein to the residents of The Presbyterian Homes in Evanston, IL.

Her topic was focused on loss of lean body mass with age and the importance of meeting your protein needs. She highlighted creative ways for our residents to enjoy a variety of high protein foods.

Our executive chef, Joe Martinez, joined in with a cooking demonstration and prepared a watermelon feta salad with a lemon-mint vinaigrette.

The residents enjoyed the information about protein and the refreshing salad!!
