The Dietitians at EHM Senior Solutions – Saline took the opportunity in
their monthly diet training with our dining team to utilize the
Dignified Dining training tools. After reviewing several meal accuracy
logs at the weekly manager’s
meeting, there was a concern with our team not providing proper
adaptive equipment to our residents in need. The RDs recruited
volunteers and set up mock situations similar to what our residents are
experiencing. The team, especially those that do not typically
interact directly with residents at meal time, had “ah-ha” moments when
they recognized the importance of providing proper adaptive equipment
to our residents.
