This week our emphasis for Better Brains with Choices is Brain Crop
Rotation. In other words, doing things differently from your usual
routine or practice. Mixing it up! This is not unlike using crop
rotation in farming to enhance fertility and avoid
depletion of essential nutrients. One could imagine that by
reactivating ignored areas of your mind, and challenging yourself in
different ways, you may improve your brain heath in ways that might not
have happened otherwise. So give it a try. Pick something
to mix up today!

On Wednesday October 12, 2016 the Moorings of Arlington Heights
Dining Services Team participated in the Better Brains with Choices
program by mixing it up with having Breakfast for Lunch and Dinner! We
offered oatmeal for our soup, omelets and eggs, biscuits
and gravy, French toast casserole, and bagels with lox. The best part
of the day was the servers. They all wore their pajamas since we were
serving breakfast! The residents loved it and the servers had a lot of
fun "mixing things up"
