The Day of the Cowboy


We celebrated The Day of the Cowboy! It all started as just a special lunch planned for the residents then the Activity department and the Employee “We Care” committee joined in on the Rodeo fun!

Dining Services served up a classic meal that a cowboy might eat while out on the cattle drive or rodeo circuit. We featured BBQ Beef Brisket and Chuck-Wagon Stew, with Cowboy Calico Beans, Ranch Fried Potatoes, Cornbread and a homemade Ranger Cookie. Tables were decorated with a Cowboy theme and country music played in the dining rooms.

Employees and residents were encouraged to dress as cowboys in honor of the day. A special treat for employees was available in the break room and later in the afternoon a “Hoe Down” Happy Hour was planned for the residents.

It was a fun day for both residents and staff to enjoy! Yee-Haw!
