Pajama Explosion at Weinberg

A great idea was sent from Ira Wolin's son's class to the dining staff at Weinberg. Every year names are chosen to exchange gifts around the holidays so this year we decided to help collect new pajamas for children from 5 to 12 years of age that are in domestic problems and have nothing to sleep in. The organization is called Pajama's at Bedtime.

The local school ( Bessie Rhodes Magnet) in conjunction with Scholastic Books Company had a program that every pair of PJ's collected they would donate a book for each child as well.. Our staff took the challenge and collected 30 pair of pajamas and then the Management Team at CJE SenorLife heard about what we were doing and asked to join in the collection. We collected over 80 pairs of pajama's for boy's and girls of all sizes. Ira dropped them off at the school and they were quite pleased. Hopefully we have started a worthwhile tradition.
