At our Director's Corner this week, our Let's Talk Food presentation featured our line cook, German Ortega, who does many of our buffet presentations. Self taught and creative, German came to Lake Forest five years ago as a dishwasher, only to be promoted to a line cook less than one year later. He showed the residents tools used to do his creations, and demonstrated how different layers in fruits and vegetables can give depth to the design. Staff and residents enjoyed the presentation!
