The
Moorings held a sold-out "reservations only" dinner on Thursday, April
25th. Chef Brian Kozlow and Sous Chef Silas Pinto interpreted a menu
served at the
White House in 1961 in honor of the inauguration of President John F.
Kennedy.
Residents
were greeted with a glass of Proseco and enjoyed a five-course meal
with beverage pairings. Menu highlights included a first course of
stuffed lobster
tail, an entree featuring prime rib, and a baked-in-house white
fruitcake with rum-soaked fruit.
Residents
dined to the tunes of the biggest hits of 1961. Conversation was
lively and the chef's received a loud round of applause at the
conclusion of the
meal. Plans are underway for the next event to be held in May.
