The Wellness and Dining Services departments at the
Western Home Communities is heating up some healthy eats this past week at their
downtown campus. Amanda Lynch alongside Chef Kevin Winburn prepared a quick and
delicious meal for staff to enjoy, Chicken Penne Stir Fry was on the menu, where
the topic was how to make quick and easy meals in under twenty minutes.
Employees flocked in as the smells of the meal spread through the halls eager to
try something new. With this quick and easy recipe they were able to see that
it really can be done in a short amount of time and does not have to be 20
ingredients long. Everyone who had a taste have been talking about the meal all
week, and are already asking when the next tasting will be. This is a great
initiative to keep creating an increase in the well-being of our staff here at
the Western Home Communities. We look forward to many more opportunities in the
coming weeks to not only showcase our talented chefs, but also put a focus on
simple, quick, healthy eating options for our staff, but also for their families
as well.
