In previous blog posts, the Central Baptist Village
culinary team has publicly stated that our goal this year is to bring as many
items back into the kitchen and scratch cook as much as possible. These items
include salad dressings, biscuits, and pizza dough among others.
While these items are not huge changes, they are no less important, as the improvement of these components make a big impact on the meals they are a part of.
We also began making our granola from scratch this year, this includes chewy granola bars. Proving our earlier point, we recently received this note from our Café staff remarking that our Café guests requested we sell our granola bars.
There is no better validation. Thanks to everyone on the CBV Culinary team for being a part of our "from scratch" movement.
