At Villa St Benedict in March, the theme for taste was named "The Spice Route" due to the selection
of spices used in the preparations. The drink was called "Villa Venon" it was prepared by our retail manager
Cindy Burnett it consisted of fresh fruit, mango rum and melon liquor.
The first tasting was "8 Hour Broth" It was an intense chicken broth with
garlic, ginger and a pork spare rib dumpling.
The second tasting was called "Chicken of the Pond" It was beer battered frog
legs, pickled vegetables and sesame hoisin sauce.
The third tasting was "Alaskan Cod" It was poached in a tomato-smoked paprika
broth with spinach coulis and steamed potatoes.
The final taste was "Cream Puff" Simple pate choux pastry mix, baked, filled
with vanilla whipped cream, raspberries and topped with dark chocolate
ganache.
Our guests enjoyed the experience and we are currently working with marketing
on inviting future residents to see what we are all about.
