Employee Meal Program at Midwest Hospice Care Center


This is our Employee Meal program at Midwest hospice care center, these boxed lunches are prepared fresh every day selling around 30 meals each day.  The program is a hit with over 100 employees and volunteers working we are keeping up with demands.   This is our Spring salad, With Grilled chicken, diced granny smith apples, blue cheese, cranberries, red onions, & candied walnuts.

Recipe for Walnuts

Whip 4 egg whites till soft peak.
Toast 12oz of nuts at 350 degrees and toss with egg whites while nuts are still hot
Add 4 oz of Powdered sugar and mix
Lay back out on a sheet pan and place back into oven until dry
then remove from oven allow to cool and break apart. 

Other spices can be added such as cinnamon or cayenne pepper
