Smith Village's Hospitality

As the weather gets warmer and the spring in upon us, Smith Village has worked to implement flavored water stations, and juice stations in all levels of care. Each morning, flavored water or juice is brought to the main lobby in each level of care, where residents, employees, and guests are welcome to enjoy a refreshing beverage throughout the day. In addition to the beverage station, Smith Village has implemented a snack cart that travels throughout the skilled care and assisted living areas at 2:00pm and 7:00pm daily. Residents are invited to enjoy a snack of their choice from fresh fruit, to homemade cookies, deli sandwiches, cottage cheese and fruit, yogurt, chips, and a variety of other selections. The snack cart has been designed to offer a variety of options to accommodate to all residents including those on any specialized diet that the community offers. As part of our hospitality focus, we have worked to also add beverages and snacks of their choice based on resident requests daily. The servers have a great time going around with the snack cart and talking to the residents daily.
