Both departments participated in a rib cook off for the residents at Central Baptist Village, Chef Davis took home the trophy (or more realistically a BBQ set) as he won the competition with his homemade BBQ sauce. This tasty event was open to our resident's and our employee's the who voted for "The Top Ribs".
This gave the Environmental team an idea on what it takes to prepare food for our resident's and what it means to work in a commercial kitchen environment. Tony Rodriguez our maintenance supervisor said that cooking for more than 15 people gave him a new found respect for our culinary team because they cook 3 meals a day for over 180 people at a time. Tony or now as we call him Chef Tony came in 4th place in the competition.
