Smith
Village hosted a Hawaiian Luau night for all the residents and their
families to enjoy. The evening started off in the main dining room,
where the residents and their guests enjoyed a traditional Hawaiian
themed dinner with a whole roasted suckling pig, grilled mahi mahi,
and other Hawaiian favorites. The roasted pig was carved tableside by
our lead cook Jarell Harnett, throughout the night.
The evening then
progressed into the community hall, where the residents enjoyed
traditional Hawaiian music, luau dancing, Hawaiian appetizers, and
Hawaiian themed drinks. The residents had a great time, dressing in
their Hawaiian themed attire, sipping on pina coladas and margaritas,
and enjoying the traditional whole roasted pig. It was a great event,
and everyone is already asking about it for next year!
